It is also a foamy soap so it can help kill bacteria on your eyelids, but the company doesn't promise this. However, the product is recommended by a lot of eye doctors even for people wearing contact lenses every day, and it is ideal for cleaning eyelids and getting rid of eye itching caused by dryness. To apply, put a small foamy drop, about the size of a dime/quarter on your finger tip and gently rub it back and forth against your eye lids (eye closed) for 10-20 seconds or so. Then lean over the sink and use a cupped had to rinse your eye with warm water several times, or use it in the shower and rinse off with the shower spray. It is preservation-free and uses a low-level preservation blend. The product comes in two forms, a foaming cleanser and wipes. Those who prefer to travel can opt for the latter.
