Aqueon Submersible Aquatic Flat Aquarium Heater, 15 Watts

**Editorial Review** The customer feedback for this heater reveals a mix of experiences among users, highlighting both its performance and reliability challenges. Many customers noted its effectiveness in raising the water temperature to desired levels, with some users successfully achieving and maintaining temperatures suitable for their fish. For example, one user mentioned that it efficiently elevated the temperature from 73 to 77 degrees, perfect for their betta fish, while another saw a significant rise to 80 degrees in a 20 qt. tote. However, a recurring issue emerged regarding the heater’s temperature regulation. Several customers experienced alarming temperature spikes, one report detailing a tank reaching an excessive 113 degrees, which could endanger the fish. This has led to a cautionary sentiment among reviewers, with many stressing the importance of monitoring the heater closely to prevent overheating. Although the heater is appreciated for its aesthetic appeal and compact size, particularly in tanks up to 10 gallons, the lack of automatic shutoff functionality raised serious concerns about safety. Another key point mentioned is the heater’s compatibility with tank sizes. While marketed for up to ten gallons, some users found it more suitable for smaller tanks. This discrepancy has led to mixed expectations among customers, ultimately leaving some feeling unsatisfied due to size and compatibility issues. Overall, while the heater has its strengths in pricing and maintaining temperature under ideal conditions, potential users should be wary of its performance and closely monitor it to prevent overheating. **
