The Black and Decker LCS1020 Lithium Ion Chainsaw is a great tool for its price. It can handle 10 to 11-inch trees with ease and still have a decent amount of battery life for additional cuts. It can also cut through standard railroad ties although it may take a while as it is only about 1/6th HP. It is compatible with the LB2X3020 battery, and it is much lighter than a gas-powered model of the same size. However, the oiler system can be problematic as it is manual, and users have had to prime it 50-75 times for the first use to get oil flowing to the chain. The oil level indicator shows the oil level in the chainsaw and if it is less than a quarter full, users need to refill. Overall, the Black and Decker LCS1020 is a great buy for the price point.
