Answer: The actual case looks frosted and is semi transparent. It has a clear plastic sleeve on the outside cover to insert the paper DVD title page. Even if it was clear with the paper DVD title insert slid in, you couldn't see the disc inside anyway. You just see the edges of the case. I ordered these multiple times and they work great.
