    Answer: The white piece is the top that fits on the red base. The base is probably 3/4 inch longer than the top as it has handles on each end.

  • Question: what is the difference between the 11.99 and the 17.99 item?

    Answer: I can't tell the difference except for the color. Seems to be the same size. I have the $17.99 item. Before putting on the top, I cover the bacon with a paper towel. Easy cleanup in the dishwasher.
  • Question: Spatters in microwave?

    Answer: No.With the lid on, there is no spattering.This is a great bacon cooker.Put 6 full strips on. It cooks 1 minute for each strip = 6minutes.The microwave is clean after cooking, no grease in the microwave.

In general, if a larger version of the product was available with a better handle design, it would greatly improve its functionality.
