diymore Single Board Computers Editorial Review
The diymore DS3231 RTC Module is a reliable module that keeps accurate time, even when disconnected from power. It has an output pin for 32Khz and 1Hz and can be used for calibration of counters. The board has mounting holes drilled in it to facilitate mounting on a panel. The module requires a CR2032 battery (sold separately) which charges and requires a rechargeable battery. The accuracy of the module varies from person to person. Some customers found the accuracy to be good, while others experienced a high amount of drift over multiple days. The time and date need to be set manually. The module is easy to set up and can be used with an Arduino. The unit received by some customers had a DS3231M instead of the DS3231S, which is not equivalent and results in much less accurate timekeeping over a period of weeks.
